Annie L. (Cook) Hodges Gates

Annie L. Cook Hodges Gates was born January 16, 1948 to the late Roy and Ruby Cook.

She was converted at an early age and joined Cypress Grove M.B. Church. Later in life she lifted the name of Jesus at many other churches. Annie loved the Lord, her family, and children. She received her education from Oxford School system and was a graduate of Central High School's class of 1967.

She united in holy matrimony to the late Stanley Hodges. No children were born to this union, however she served as a mother to many children, whom she loved dearly. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family.

Annie departed this life on December 5, 2019 at Oxford Health and Rehab Center in Oxford, MS. 

She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters; Lillie Mae Orange, Oxford, MS and Rosie (Robert) Blackmon, Abbeville, MS, one brother; Henry (Mary) Cook, Colorado Springs, CO, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
