Bennie Ray Dixon (aka: Tony), son of Mrs. Queenie Dixon and the late Casey "Buster" Dixon, was born in Oxford MS where he grew up, accepted Christ at an early age and joined the East St. Peter MB Church and later became a member of Greater New Liberty Church in Memphis TN.
Bennie attended Oxford High School and graduated with the OHS Class of 1973 and continued his education at Northwest Community College where he received his associate's degree in 1975, after which he enlisted in the United States Army.
Bennie loved his family. Even though he lived in Memphis, he did not miss an opportunity to come home and be with his mother, children, grandchildren and siblings.
Bennie is remember for his big, amazing personality. He was the life of the party. He was a caring man and he loved singing. He was employed with Technicolor of Memphis as a fork lift driver. Bennie was home in Oxford with his loving family when the Lord sent notice for him to come home. He made his transition on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital/NM with his loving family by his side.

His children: Shannon Dixon Neilson, Bennie Dixon, Jr., and Javinte Gilliom; his mother: Queenie Dixon; his siblings: Murry Dixon, Fannie Evans, Dorothy Dixon, Christine Fox, Mae Dixon, Carolyn Dixon and Sarah Pegues; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
