"Scooter" as we all knew him was a jokester. He loved being silly and was the life of the party. "Scooter" had a dream of becoming a big time rapper. But God had other plans. A young man, gone home to be with the Lord. Charles Alexander Redmond was born April 7, 1992 in Lafayette County, Mississippi to Charles Ray Redmond and Carolyn Boyd Redmond.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Second Missionary Baptist Church where as a child he was very active in children's church. "Scooter" attended Oxford City Schools and worked as a carpet cleaner and pressure washer for Don Burton Clean Service.
On Saturday morning about 12:32 a.m. at Regional One Health in Memphis, "Scooter" succumb to injuries received in an automobile accident. Please remember his family in your prayers. His son: Jakobe Charles Alexander Redmond of Water Valley MS; his brothers: Johnny C. Buford III of Oxford MS and Julian Marzette of Newnan GA; his sisters: Krunda Buford of Saltillo MS, Kashrunda Redmond of Tupelo MS, Kaneisha (Marcus) Thompson and Jasmine (Undra) Buford-Goss both of Oxford MS and Nikki Turner of Taylor MS; his maternal grandmother: Betty (Silas) Bradford of Oxford MS; his step mother: Felisa Redmond of Oxford MS; his step father: Carl Lee Johnson of Oxford MS and his companion: Brianna Kirkwood of Oxford MS. He is also remembered by a host of other relatives and friends.
"Scooter" was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Boyd Buford Johnson and his father, Charles "Skeeter" Redmond.
