Ira Lee Hickinbottom

Ira Lee Hickinbottom was born to the late Ira Thomas and Sarah L (Wortham) Hickinbottom on October 14, 1966 in Oxford, MS. 

Ira Lee confessed his hope for Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, MS.

He attended Oxford High School and is a graduate of the class of 1985.

Ira loved his family, fishing, hunting, cooking and riding motorcycles. He had a big smile and good heart. He was married to Cristy Long Hickinbottom, and was a self employed mechanic. 

On, Monday, July 29, 2019 he passed away.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Cristy Long Hickinbottom of Oxford, MS; two sons; Traicon Pride of Baltimore, MD and Xavior Long of Oxford, MS;  two daughters: Sheree LaSha Redmond of Oxford, MS and Taneasha Sharell Redmond of Baltimore, MD;  three brothers, Allen Alexander, Leonte Thompson and Thomas Hickinbottom all of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Celisse Hickinbottom and LaShetta Hickinbottom both of Oxford, MS;  three grandchildren, his step mother: Rachael Hickinbottom and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ira is proceeded in death by his parents, Ira Thomas Highinbottom and Sarah Hickinbottom Alexander, and one brother, Michael Hickinbottom.
