Jacqueline Sims, daughter of Bishop "B.B" and Essie Lee Sims, was born in Lafayette County on August 16, 1961. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Greater St. John MB Church where she remained a faithful member until death.
Jackie, as she was affectionately known, was a graduate of Lafayette High School and was employed with North Mississippi Regional Center (NMRC) as a direct care worker until her retirement.
She was the mother of a wonderful son, Jamarris, and four fabulous grandchildren. Jackie loved being with her family and having a good time.
On Wednesday evening, May 22, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital/NM, after a hard battle with cancer, the heavenly father stepped in and said Daughter, this battle is over. You're a winner and there's a crown of righteousness waiting for you. She closed her loving eyes and went home to be with the Lord.
Jackie is loving remembered by her son, Jamarris Sims of Clinton MS; her grandchildren; her siblings: William Sims, Johnny Sims, Vincent Sims, Ella Boyd, Ernestine Hilliard, and Oneida Sims, all of Oxford MS, Lucinda Reynolds of Memphis TN, and Estelle Mathis of Atlanta GA. She is also remembered by a host of other relatives and friends.
Please keep her family in your prayers.
