Jwarner Miller Green, daughter of the late Cleodie and Annie Barringer Miller, was born May 20, 1951, in Oxford, Mississippi. Jwarner accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Hope MB Church under the leadership of the late Pastor W. T. Houston.
Jwarner received her education in the Oxford School District and graduated from Central High School in 1967. In high school she was a member of the Central High School Chorus and the Central High School Eagles high stepping majorettes.
Jwarner was married to Albert Green and they were together 40 years and 8 days. She was a member of Hill Chapel MB Church in Memphis TN where she served as an usher until her until she was no longer able to perform her duties but she loved serving and formed some special bonds while serving. She was a legal secretary for Shelby County Justice Center's Public Defenders Office in Memphis TN. She loved to dance and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
On Thursday morning, January 9th, 2020, with her loving family by her bedside, the Lord saw fit to take our beloved Jwarner home where she shall eternally rest from her labor. She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband: Albert L. Green of Oxford MS; her children: Marlin (Cynthia) Liggins, Albert (Shay) Green, II and LaChundrea (Chima) Okoromadu all of Memphis TN. She leaves three grandchildren: Albert III, Shariah and Marlin, Jr.; two sisters: Dever Miller of Los Angeles CA and Gwenervere (Johnny) Hutchins of Oxford MS and a brother: Darrell (Evertean) Miller of Memphis TN, three god children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jwarner is preceded in death by her parents, Cleodie and Annie Miller; her sister: Alice Miller Price; her brothers: Cleodie Miller, Jr. and Chauncey Miller.
