Paula Levette Smith-Haltiwanger, daughter of the late Sammie Lee Rogers and Venzella Morgan was born in Oxford, Mississippi on August 15, 1969. Paula accepted Christ at an early age and she was a member of His Harvest Ministries, Oxford MS where she was on the Pastor's Aide Ministry and the Praise and Worship Dance Team.
She was a 1987 graduate of Irmo High School in South Carolina and she went on to receive an Associate Degree from Colorado University and continuing her education at the University of Mississippi in Oxford MS.
Paula liked to read, but her hands were amazing. She used them cooking, upholstering and sewing. And used her arms to hold and hug her grandchildren. But most of all she loved to worship the Lord.
Paula was united in matrimony to Henry Haltiwanger and together they were the proud parents of four children; LeTia, Jachin, Zoe and Patrick.
On Sunday evening February 17, 2019, the Lord saw the need to bring Paula home to praise and dance with Him. And we know that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband: Henry Haltiwanger, her children; LeTia Haltiwanger, Jachin Haltiwanger, Zoe Haltiwanger, all of Oxford MS and Patrick Foulks of Columbia SC; her eight grandchildren; her parents: Pastor Harry and Apostle Eyvone Smith, Oxford MS; her siblings: Pamela Bowers-Carothers (Fred) and Elizabeth Ducksworth and Richard Ducksworth all of Oxford MS, Steven Rogers (Renee), of IN, Sherod Rogers, Timeka Rogers and Loretta McKoy, all of Fayetteville NC and Rolanda Brown, Olive Branch MS and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paula was preceded in death by two grandmothers and a host of other family members.
Please keep her family in your prayers.
