Rachel Booker

Rachel Booker was the last of 13 children born on July 20, 1913 to the late Dave Stevens and Laura Carruthers Stevens in Calhoun County, MS.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Mays Chapel in Calhoun County, MS. After moving to Oakland, MS, she united with Carr's Chapel CME Church at age 18 and remained a member until her death. During her 87 year membership, she served on the Stewardess Board and was a past president of the Usher Board until her health failed.

Rachel united in to matrimony to the late Ottis (Artie) Booker.

She passed away, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Grenada MS ar Grenada Health and Rehab. To cherish her memories she leaves a devoted son, Dan Lawson, Jr., two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren all of Dudley, NC, a special niece, Mary Hightower, and a host of other relatives and friends.
