Willie C Key

W.C. Key, son of Mrs. Evelyn Key Ramsey, was born March 14, 1951 in Lafayette County, Mississippi. W.C. accepted Christ at an early age and joined Philadelphia M.B. Church where retained his membership until death. He received his formal education in the Oxford School district and graduated from Central High School in 1969. W.C. married Shirley Pegues in 1971 and to this union, three children were born, He was a self-employed mechanic for 25 years and an insurance sales agent with West Coast Life and All State Insurance Companies. He was a dedicated Walmart Employee and worked there until his health failed. And, he was also a member of the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge #387. On August 1st, 2019, while at Baptist Memorial Hospital/NM, W.C. Key departed this life and went to a far better place. He’s now, resting from his labor. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Shirley Key; his mother, Evelyn Ramsey; his children: Brenda (Aundra) Price and Derrick Key; three grandchildren: Brandon, Bria, and Aundria Price; a great grandchild: Arbrianna Key; 18 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dub is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Key; his father; Walter Ramsey; his biological father: Willis Burt; three siblings and three special aunts: Susie Dale Cook, Hattie Mae Key and Annie Key.
