Almer Lee Hilliard

Ms. Almer "Alma Lee" Hilliard was born in Oxford, MS on November 6, 1937 to Paul and Rosa Lee Hilliard. She went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 83 years old.

Almer retired from Ole Miss, began taking courses at Rust College, and was a caretaker for several people and businesses throughout the Oxford area. Almer aided in raising a host of family members throughout her life and was a constant shining light within the family, providing support wherever needed. She would see no bad in any kid, only opportunities for them to flourish if they were to be given the opportunity.

Almer Lee was preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Rosa Lee Hilliard and three siblings, George E. Hilliard, Earl Flynn Hilliard, and Clarence Hilliard.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her son; Walter A. Hilliard, Davenport, IA; four grandchildren, Erick (Tasha) Rogers, Rock Island, IL, Katrisa Hilliard, South Beloit, IL, Kevin (Amanda) Collins, and Stephanie Collins; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Frances (Jim) Willingham and Martha J. (Otto) Nathan; one brother, Paul "Sonny" Hilliard, Jr., and a host of family and friends that loved and cherished her dearly.
