ANNIE MAE BUTLER was born on November 9,1936 to the late Pearline Mitchell Lee in Batesville, MS.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion M.B Church in Batesville, MS where she was a faithful member for years. Later she joined Shiloh CME Church in Sardis, MS where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She was member of the choir and served faithfully in all aspects of the church.
Annie was best known as one who rendered service to those in need by: cooking, cleaning, offering rides to anyone in need. She was a true servant and woman of God.
She was employed with Mid State Cannery Service and Meal on Wheels for many years. She worked at North Delta Planning where she retired. Annie was married to the late Carufus Butler.
On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Annie passed away at her home, surrounded by family.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Deborah (Lygunnah) Bean; son, Robert Pinkins both of Batesville, MS; grandchildren whom she raised as her own, Shepreta, Komiya, Cyndi along with many others; grandchildren, Alicia, Evelyn, Leon, Tracey, Mary, Walter, Fred, Sherman, Alvin, Tyrone, Yolanda, Corey, Authur, Jermaine, Robert, Isaac, Lakenna, Nadia, a host of great grandchildren who loved her dearly, and a special god daughter, Mae Helen Williams and a host of many other relatives and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her mother, husband, four daughters: Dorothy Mae Thompson, Dianne Hardiman, Samantha Hardin and Gwendolyn Pinkins; one son-in-law, Clarence Hardiman, one granddaughter, one grandson, and two great grandchildren.
