Antuan L. Gordon, daughter of the late Oscar Gordon, Jr. and Jearlene Frison Gordon, was born in Chicago, IL, on September 19, 1971. "Tuan," as she was affectionately called by some, accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jeffrie Chapel MB Church and later united with the Clear Creek MB Church family.
Antuan received her formal education in the Lafayette County School district, graduating with Lafayette High School's Class of 1989. She went out into the workforce and worked at Taco Bell, Emerson Electric, and Whirlpool for many years. Her last employment before health issues caused her to resign was with Millcreek of Pontotoc Treatment Center as a Behavior Health Associate.
If you knew Antuan, you knew that infectious smile and that delightful sense of humor. She enjoyed life. she loved to have fun, she she loved to make everyone laugh,.Antuan was a fashionista and a sneaker junkie. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Her last trip was to Chicago IL, where she peacefully went to sleep and woke up on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 with Jesus. She will be dearly missed.
Antuan is lovingly remember by her sister: Latricia Frison of Oxford MS; loving nieces: Tanesha Vaughn (Brian) of Springfield IL and Shanitra Frison (Kevin) of Castle Rock CO; nephew: Myckal Boone of Bloomington IL; her "Oh So Loved" with all her heart great nephew: Karter Mason and great niece: Bailey Jae; her special cousin/brother: Vernon Deon Gant of Oxford MS; her special cousins/nieces: Talaneshia and Tacarra Gant; her brother: Ketric Nielson and family; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Antuan was survived by her grandmother: Nettie Gordon, who sadly passed away six days after Antuan's death (12/31/2024). She is also preceded in death by her parents: Oscar Gordon, Jr. and Jearlene Frison Gordon; her maternal grandparents:: John Henry and Rosie Lee Frison; and her paternal grandfather: Oscar Gordon, Sr.
