Artha Lee Eggerson

Artha Lee Eggerson was born on November 19, 1949 to the late Luther and Ora Lee (Owens) Eggerson in Lafayette Co, MS. 

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School 1971.

He accepted Christ at an early age at North Hopewell MB Church and later united with New Jerusalem Church where he was assistant pastor an became an Elder.

Artha united in holy matrimony to Leolia Wilson and they were blessed with three children.

He loved building things, mentoring others,  carpentry, being involved in arts and crafts and helping people. 

Artha was employed at Georgia Pacific for over 32 years, after which he formed his own business, Eggerson Building and Remodeling Company.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Leolia Eggerson of Taylor MS; one son, Artha Antonio (Trusan) Eggerson of Kileen, TX; two daughters, Tenesha E. Dickerson and Doretta (Anthony) Walton both of Oxford, MS; three brothers, Harvey (Gloria) Eggerson of Racine, WI, Richard Eggerson and Tyronia (Catherine) Eggerson both of Taylor MS; four sisters, Judge Frances (Eddie) Carothers of Taylor MS, Mary (Jimmy) Bishop of Taylor MS, Dandy (Walter) Campbell of Oxford MS and Illetta (Norbert) Woods of Oxford, MS; a daughter/sister-in-law,  Helean (Brian) Davis of Oxford MS, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lue Jessie Cox and a brother, Pastor Eugene Eggerson and two grand children.
