Bennie Wilson, Jr.

Bennie Wilson, Jr. was born January 23, 1944 to the late Bennie Wilson, Sr. and Blanche Rainer in Somerville, TN. 

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Carter's Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville, TN. He later rededicated his life and united with His Harvest Church in Oxford, MS.

In the early 70s, Bennie was united in matrimony to Sarah Miller and to this union, a daughter was born. He later married Annie Boyd. He was good with his hands thus gaining employment as a carpenter for D. Carroll Construction Company. He was a faithful worker until his health failed.

When he wasn't working, Bennie enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbequing, cooking for his family, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was definitely the life of any party!

On, Monday, August 23, 2021, while surrounded by his family, Bennie peacefully passed away at his home in Memphis, TN. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife for over 30 years, Annie Wilson of Memphis, TN, children, Jacqueline (Darrel) Robinson of Jackson, MS, Tracey (Steve) Alfonsie, Tyrone Hrris, Dennis (Patricia) Harris, Carnell Wilson, Corey (Farrah) Boyd, Rodney Boyd, and Quincey Boyd all of Memphis, TN, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Gerry and Terry Wilson, parents, and siblings, Bertha Wilson, Rosie McDaniel, Rena Garrett, Lattie Wilson, Sr., Rev. Eff Wilson, and John Wilson.
