Bobby Lee Corothers, son of the late Roy Lee Corothers and Martha Helen Townsend Corothers, was born December 5, 1960, in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Bobby accepted Christ at an early age and joined Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, Mississippi.
As a child, Bobby begin his early education at what was known as Weems Elementary School in Taylor, Mississippi and upon total integration of the schools, he continued his formal education in the Lafayette County School system. He was married to Janice Corothers who preceded him in death.
Bobby was a very lovable guy. He had a pleasing and happy personality. He found joy in making people laugh and we know that laughter is good for the soul. Bobby also enjoyed visiting with friends, cooking and he loved fishing. Bobby enjoyed cooking and he worked as a cook, but his last job was with the Water Valley Poultry Plant (Mott's).
On Saturday, April 19, 2025, while residing in the Oxford Health and Rehab facility, Bobby Lee Corothers gained his wings. He leaves sweet memories with those he leaves behind; his siblings: Martha Carrothers, Martha Driver and Marvin Corothers; he also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents: Roy Lee Corothers and Martha Corothers; his wife: Janice Corothers; and his brother: Leroy Corothers.
