Bradford Farmer was born on June 29th, 1932 in Lafayette County, Mississippi to the late Frederick Farmer and Georgia Avant Farmer. He departed this Earthly life on February 26, 2021 in Oxford, MS.
Brad, as he was affectionately called, joined East St. Peter M.B. Church in Abbeville, MS and remained a member until his death.
He relocated to New York in the 1950’s. Brad was joined in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Robessie, for over 60 years. To this union, they were blessed with four daughters and one son, Cedric, who preceded them in death. On March 2, 2020, his lifelong sweetheart and soul mate, Robessie, was called home to be with the Lord.
Brad was a devoted family man, a man of character and integrity with an infectious laugh. He was known for his strong work ethic and prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Supervising Machinist in New Jersey.
He was an avid sports fan, and you could always catch him cheering on his New York Mets, Knicks and Jets. Even though Brad moved back to his hometown of Oxford, MS in 2002, he was forever a fan of his New York teams. Although he loved his teams, his greatest joy was the love of his family. He was a dedicated husband and doting father and grandfather.
He will be forever missed by his daughters and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Denise Ware of Tucson, AZ, Sonia Constable (Carl) of Huntington Station, NY, Cheryl Farmer of Tucson, AZ, Angela Weber (Russell) of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Bradley Lannon Ware, Ashley Croft, Monique Esdaille (Justin), Carl Constable, Jr.; great grandson, Braylon Ware; brother, Billy Farmer (Johnnie); sister, Dorothy Carothers (David), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.
Five siblings preceded him in death; Webster Norwood Farmer, Katherine Ann Lois Williams, Shirley Douglas Farmer, Bobby Glenn Farmer, Selton Farmer, and Marvin Wayne Farmer.
