The smiling face of Walmart. Brenda Lee Wadley, daughter of Willie Lee and Ella Burnett Wadley, was born in Oxford, Mississippi on September 5, 1960. If you ever met or came in contact with Brenda, you couldn't help but love and admire here.
Brenda accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of East St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the fellowship of people and was a annual traveler with the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church on their annual church family vacation. She loved shopping and on the trips could be seen coming back to the hotel with her shopping bags.
Brenda graduated from Oxford High School in 1977 and was employed with Wal-Mart as a department manager. She loved family and absolutely adored her grandchildren.
There's a poem that starts with, "Little did we know that day that the Lord would call your name." But there's a scripture that says, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." We didn't know that early Tuesday morning, March 24th, 2020, the Lord would call her name and receive her unto himself, but we find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Please keep Brenda's family in you prayers, her children: Dwayne Wadley, Arlington TX and Kimberly Wadley of Oxford MS; her siblings: Debra Clayton, Clare Brooks, Sharon Wadley, Lewis Wadley, and Jeffery Wadley all of Oxford MS and Willie Wadley of Temple AZ; she also leaves four loving grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
