Charles Booker Obituary

Charles Benjamin Booker was born November 30, 1967, to Charles and Willie Matrichia  (Green) Booker, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Benny as he was affectionately known, accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Beverly United Methodist Church in Oxford, MS.  He later joined Harrisonville Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, MS, under the leadership of Pastor Lenair Person. He was an active member of the music ministry, where he served as bass player.  Benny loved to play his bass guitar.  He was also a longtime member and bass player for the Harmonious Harmoneers of Oxford, MS.  Benny loved watching westerns, Count’s Kustoms and football. He was a diehard fan of the Indianapolis Colts. He was also a grill master for his family and the community. He loved his family and cooking.  He was kitchen manager at Proud Larry’s. He was a proud graduated of Oxford High School's class of 1987.

Benny, transitioned from his earthly life on March 5, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.

Benny leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life for 31 years, Tracey Webb Booker of Oxford, MS; three children: Kyna (Jeremy) Turner of Columbus, MS, Ebony Booker of Oxford, MS, and Trevin (Tierra) Booker of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren: Skylar Brown, Carlee Breathett, and Trevin Booker Jr. of Memphis, TN; His loving mother: Willie Matrichia Booker of Oxford, MS; one brother: Ronald (Christina) Mathis of Oxford, MS; mother-in-law: Erma Webb of Oxford, MS; sisters-in-law: Treva Webb of OKC, OK and Jamira (Demetrius) Lamar; brothers-in law: Manuel (Demetria) Webb, Eugene (Brenda) Webb, Marcus Webb all of Oxford, MS, and Kerry (LaDonna) Webb of Atlanta, GA; he also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Benny was preceded in death by is loving father: Charles Booker; grandparents Lorienzer and Charlene Green, and a special aunt, Jessie Mae Burt.
