Cherrish Alicia Curry, daughter of Booker T. and Anger Ann Curry, was born September 4, 1987 in Oxford, MS.
She received her primary education from the Oxford School District and graduated in the class of 2006. After high school, Cherrish furthered her education by attending Northwest Mississippi Community College, earning a certification to become a Certified Nurse’s Aid. She was employed as a Direct Care Worker by Millcreek Treatment Center in Pontotoc, MS.
Cherrish was a people person and lived her life to the fullest daily. Her smile was so warm and welcoming which allowed her to connect with anyone. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with kids, especially her nieces and nephews. She also loved dancing, making gift baskets, and crafting.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Cherrish passed away in Pontotoc, MS. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered. Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Booker T. and Anger Ann Curry of Oxford, MS; three brothers, Jermaine Sisk (Jackie) of Jacksonville, FL, Derrick Gordon of Houston, TX, and Michael Gipson (Nicole) of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Tosha Dunn (Frankie) of Oxford, MS; maternal grandmother, Frenchie Sisk of Pontotoc, MS, special friend, James Lewis of Pontotoc, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Fulton and Katherine Curry, Jimmy Lee Carothers, and Dean Sisk.
