Clara Woodall Obituary

Clara Lurlean Moore, daughter of the late James Jahue Moore and Iona Alberta McCarter was born September 4, 1939, in Panola County, MS. She was the youngest of six siblings. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age at Sandy Springs AME Church and later joined Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her  health prevented her physical attendance.

Clara met and married the love of her life, Alex Woodall and to this union four children were born. She devoted her life to family, church and work. She began her work outside the home with Big Yank Corporation where she dedicated over 25 years of service. She later went on to work for the Mississippi State Veterans Home and servered over 10 years there before retiring.

Clara enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, and spending time laughing with her family and friends. She was a woman of a few words but when she cut her eye at you then you knew she meant business. She was a member of the Heroines  of Jericho Court #95, where she remained a faithful member until her passing. After the death of her beloved in 1989. she later met Boyd Joiner and they were married in 1994.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Clara peacefully answered her heavenly Father's call and transitioned into eternal rest.
