Edna Rene (Pegues) Dickens was born August 2, 1953 to the late Pauline (Hilliard) Pegues and Henderson Nolan Pegues.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Philadelphia M.B. Church where she served on the Usher Board, Choir Member and on the church finance committee.

Edna graduated from Oxford High School with the Class of 1972. She retired from the University of Mississippi after 20 years of service at the University's Physical Plant. She was also a Foster grandparent at NMRC and worked at Cobra Security.

Edna was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Philadelphia Chapter 287, where she served as Treasurer. She was a member of the Board of Retiree Club. Edna always had a smile whenever you saw her. She loveed spending time and traveling with her family and her church family.  She would always leave you with “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Edna was united in wedlock to Carl B.
