Emmaline Barr Willingham was born to the late Smiley and Lena Spears Barr on March 10, 1931, in Lafayette County, Mississippi.
Emmaline professed a hope in Christ at the age of 12 and united with Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and faithfully served on the Mother’s Board until her health began to fail. She was always full of joy when it went to the church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and reading the Bible.
Emmaline united in holy matrimony to Willie C. Willingham and to this union six children were born.
Early Sunday morning, Emmaline answered the Master’s call and went on to be with the Lord.
She leaves to mourn her passing, four children, WC Willingham (Larven), Lillie Buck, Emma Jean Price (Joel), Albert Willingham (Rose), a stepson, Glen Anderson, one sister, Annie Brown, one brother, Charlie Barr, nine sisters-in-law, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Smiley and Lena Spears Barr, husband, Willie C. Willingham, two daughters, Martha and Molly Willingham, six brothers, Cad, Freeman, Henry, SA, Isaiah, and Sylvester and three sisters, Ardell, Hattie Mae, and Martha.
