Obituary

Eugene Robinson, son of the late Floyd and Ruthie Wallace Robinson, was born November 4, 1948, in Winstonville, Mississippi. And received his education in the Mound Bayou Schools. Eugene attended church in Winstonville, Mississippi.

Eugene united in matrimony to Jessie L. Robinson in Shelby, Mississippi on March 31, 1969. Eugene enlisted in the United State Army and received an honorable discharge. He was formally employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital/NM as a custodian. Eugene enjoyed riding, fishing, telling jokes, singing, and being around people. He was just fun to be around.

Eugene departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in Taylor, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Leon Robinson.

He is survived by his children: Sherlanda Robinson, Temekia Robinson, and Eugene Robinson, Jr.; siblings: Floyd Robinson, Jessie Robinson, Zellor Robinson, and O.C. Robinson; and grandchildren: Shaletha Phelps, Charlisa Robinson, Keeana Green, DeAngelo Robinson, Dalont'e Rogers, Varshay Jones, Sylvester Robinson, Rayshawn Jones, Julius Jones, Malik Jones, Chantriece Jackson, Ashley Robinson,  Eugene Robinson III, and Asia Robinson; and special cousins: Elmer and Belvia Shaw; a special nephew: Zytrell Shaw. He also leaves a host of  other nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives and friends.
