Everett Marcus Johnson

Everett Marcus Johnson was born in Oxford, MS on February 26, 1989, to Carolyn Perry and Everett Johnson.

After receiving his General Education Diploma, Marcus, as he was called, spent several years working at different factories but his dream was to become an independent/private contractor. Within the last few years, he accomplished his goal and successfully launched his business, Johnson and Son’s Professional Cleaning. His business encompassed lawn care, pressure washing, painting, and so much more. In the evenings or on Saturdays, you could also find him working his other job as a barber.

When he wasn’t working, Marcus often did what he loved most, spending time with his children. He had such an outgoing personality which allowed him to make friends wherever he went. He was authentic and wholeheartedly there for those in his life.

Marcus gained his angelic wings on Friday, November 5, 2022 at his home in Lawrenceville, GA. Left to mourn his passing yet cherish his memory are his wife of seven years, Telisha Johnson of Oxford, MS; children, Evan Marcus Johnson, Everett Marcus Johnson both of Oxford, MS, Marcus Everett Johnson of Southaven, MS, Saderene Cole-Johnson, Kai’Leena Johnson of Pontotoc, MS, and E’Riyah Smoot of Southaven, MS; mother, Carolyn Perry of Water Valley, MS; father, Everett Johnson of Gloster, MS; siblings, Tamara (Myron) Love, Drusilla Johnson (Sterling Brown) both of Oxford, MS, Sharhonda Stewart of Gloster, MS, Jarhonda Johnson and Jordan Johnson both of Sacramento, CA; grandparents, Odelia Delbridge, Dorothy M. Johnson of Gloster, MS and Duke E. Johnson of Jackson, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Marcus is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Perry, great grandmother, Sally Jones, great aunts, Ola Savage, Ruby Love, and Kimberly Jones, and great uncle, Melvin Savage.
