Franklin N. Rockett, son of the late Willie Frank and Willie Juree (Wright) Rockett, was born January 2, 1959, in Yalobusha County, MS.
“Frank,” as he was affectionately called, accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Springhill North M.B. Church in Water Valley, MS, where he remained a member until his death.
He received his education from Water Valley School District and graduated from Water Valley High School. While in high school, Frank found a love for playing the sport of football.
Frank entered the world of fatherhood when he was blessed with his son, Vernon. He later met and married Alma Hardaway and to this union they shared three children, Antonio, Solomon, and Octavia. In 1990, he married Mary L. Phillips and was blessed with two more children, Christopher, and Bethany.
Frank was very good with his hands thus gaining him employment as a Maintenance Technician for Windsor Foods. After 10 years of service, he retired. Watching westerns and football were a couple of his favorite past times and he also enjoyed being outside, gardening, doing yard work, listening to music – particularly Frankie, Beverly, and Maze, traveling, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
