Freddie L. Reed, 61, of Abbeville, MS, was born to the late Fred Reed and Mary (Reynolds) Reed, on October 9, 1964. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Jeffrie Chapel M.B. Church in Abbeville, MS.
Freddie received his early education in the Lafayette School District in Oxford and later received a General Educational Development Certificate (GED). He gained employment working at Ashley Furniture Company in Ecru, MS. He loved being on the outside and later started doing his own lawn care services. He loved being with his family and his friends.
The words that Freddie would often leave with you, are, "Dude, I'm Alright" and "Then What?"
Freddie went home peacefully to be with the Lord on January 31, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Miss in Oxford, MS. He will truly be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Courtney Malone, Oxford, MS; two sisters, Gloria (Vernon) Wilson and Stephanie Reed, both of Abbeville, MS, one brother, Frankie Reed of Abbeville, MS; his granddaughter, Khalisia "Coco" Brannon, Oxford, MS; his loving aunt, Josie Carothers, Abbeville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary (Reynolds) Reed: his sister, Shirley Reed and his brother, Terry Reed.
Freddie ~~Those we love don't go away they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. We love you but God loves you best,~~~~ your daughter, Courtney, yours sisters and brother, Gloria, Stephanie, Frankie; and your granddaughter, Khalisia.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
