G. B. Morrow

G. B. Morrow was born September 14, 1959, to the late Bernice Clayton Morrow and Z. B. Morrow in Oxford, Mississippi. He answered the call from the Lord to return home on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Oxford Health and Rehab.

GB accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout life, G. B. worked many jobs, such as cementing, automotive and moving trailers. His favorite thing to do was drive his Cadillac and listen to the blues.

GB leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Patrick (Tasha) Vaxter of Georgia, Joyce Wortham of Oxford MS and G’Anthony (Ashley) Morrow of Arizona; Four grandsons: Quientin Wortham, Patrick Vaxter, Jr., G’Anthony Morrow, Jr., and G'iovanni Morrow. Five granddaughters: Jasmine Vaxter, Lea Lawrence, Tatiania Lawrence, Layla Alston and GeNaye Morrow. two sisters: Bonnie Owens of New Albany MS, Katina Morrow of Memphis TN: three brothers: Zachary Morrow and Zandra Morrow, both of Memphis TN and Doyle (Sandra) Morrow of Oxford MS. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

G. B. was preceded in death by his mother: Bernice Morrow; his father: Z. B. Morrow: grandmother: Jettie Clayton; grandfather: Sam Clayton; brother: Sam Clayton; uncles: James Clayton and George Clayton; and Aunt: Ella Oliver.
