Gary Carruthers III, son of Gary Carruthers Jr., and Sarah Francis Seay Carruthers, was born December 1, 1970, in Peoria, Illinois. Gary received his formal education in the City of Oxford's school district and graduated with Oxford High School Class of 1989. Later, in the mid 90's, he relocated to Georgia where he received his Culinary degree.
Gary enjoyed cooking and was a great chef. Not only could he whip up a delicious sea food feast, he was a talented artist. He drew a picture of Chucky Mullins for Ole Miss. In addition to cooking and drawing, Gary loved spending time with his family. He was a very loving father and he never met a stranger.
