Gaynell (Lyons) Oliver

Gaynell Lyons Oliver, daughter of Marshall Lyons and Beatrice Baskin Lyons, was born in Chickasaw County, MS, on October 22, 1935. She was united in holy matrimony to Hulon Oliver. Mr. Oliver preceded her in death. 

She attended Rock Hill MB Church where she served on the usher ministry. Mrs. Oliver was a home maker and loved to cook. She would spend her time singing and going to church. She was a person with a kind and caring soul. 

Mrs. Oliver went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2019 while at Oxford Health and Rehab, in Oxford MS.

She is lovingly remembered by those she leaves behind, her children: Martha Lyons, of Oxford MS and Bernice Lyons, of Jackson MS; three sisters: Annie Ruth Lyons and L. V, Lyons, both of Tupelo MS and Dorothy Lyons of Senatobia MS; three step children: Maelean Harris, Lavern Willingham and Willie Oliver, all of Oxford MS; she also leaves three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several step grand and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
