Georgia Ann Boston was born July 9, 1953, in Oxford, MS to the late Ethel Brown and Durby Boston.
Georgia accepted Christ early in life and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member until her death. She received her education from Central High and Oxford school district.
“Duck,” as she was affectionately called, was employed with Emerson Electric company for many years. She lived and enjoyed life to the fullest and never met a stranger. Georgia always demonstrated a great love for her children as well as her family.
Her passion was to make people laugh and she was a joy to be around. She always wanted you to feel special, to live and to be happy in the moment.
On Thursday, February 17, 2022, the Lord called her home. Her memories and love will be cherished by her family.
She is survived by her sons, Maurice Boston and Tristian (Jemeka) Boston both of Oxford, MS; 9 grandchildren, Margaressa, Carey, Markylan, Martylan, Maurissa, Dylan, Zaniya, Bethany, Lucas, Kenyatta; 1 great grandchild, Milan Dior; sisters, Ruth Boston-Smith of Flint, MI, Margarett Boston Sullivan (George), Louise Boston both of Oxford, MS and Flora Boston of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Steve Green and Floyd Brown both of Oxford, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Durby and Ethel Brown Boston, six siblings, Annie Williams, Frances Boston, Evelyn Boston, Marshall Boston, Durby V. Boston, Walter Boston, and Dewey King.
