GreTeva Nicole Frierson

GreTeva Nicole Frierson was born March 15, 1993, in Oxford, MS to Agrecia Frierson. 

“Teva or Te,” as she was affectionately called, accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and joined Tobby Tubby M.B. Church. She had a beautiful voice and was a member of the choir.

She received her education from Lafayette County schools and graduated in LHS’s class of 2011. After high school, she worked various jobs before realizing that she had a passion for cosmetology. Acting on that passion, she acquired her braiding license and began doing what she loved, which was hair. She was also the owner and operator of TeWorkx and More.

Though she was proud of her business, her most prized possessions were her children. She loved taking care of them and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Sadly, GreTeva was taken from her family far too soon on April 29, 2022. Her smile, laughter, and love will be missed greatly by her family. 

She leaves to forever cherish her memories her two amazing children, J'Khiland and Jade Frierson both of Oxford, MS; loving mother, Agrecia Frierson of Murfreesboro, TN; grandmother, Eva Bowie (Casey) of Oxford,MS; three brothers, X'Zavier and D'Quarius Thomas both of Murfreesboro,TN and Keon'Taye Tallie of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Paris Thomas of Oxford, MS and Brittany Frierson of Murfreesboro, TN; two nieces, Kheylani Brannon and Khloe Thomas of Murfreesboro,TN; two nephew, Ashton Thomas and Austin Hill both of Oxford,MS; aunties, Niki Frierson of Oxford, MS, Savia Archie and Danotra Archie both of Memphis, TN; two cousins that were more like little sisters, D'Ericka Booker and Dominique Herron of Oxford, MS; best friend, Brianna Fisher-Palmer of Ripley, MS; godmother, Alecian Mathis of Oxford,MS, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and clients.

GreTeva was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William L. Frierson, who also was the main father figure in her life.
