Gwen Denise (Hill) Price

Gwen D. Price, daughter of Douglas and Lula Hill, was born October 18, 1961, in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Gwen obeyed the gospel and was added to the body of Christ in 1970 at the Rivers Hill Church of Christ. She remained a faithful member of the Terry St. Church of Christ in Ripley, MS, even after her health began to decline. She received her education in the Oxford City School district at Oxford High School and was a graduate of Oxford High School's Class of 1979.
After high school, Gwen attained an Associates Degree in Nursing in 1981. Gwen eventually moved to Memphis, TN in 1982, and later moved back to Oxford in 2019. She was united in matrimony to Chris Price. She was the proud mother of three biological children but was a mother figure to so many who had the opportunity to encounter her loving and nurturing presence.
Gwen enjoyed worshipping the Lord, studying the Bible, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and watching HGTV.
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Gwen transitioned peacefully at Baptist East Hospital in Germantown, TN. She is lovingly remembered by her husband: Chris Price; her children: Bradley (Stacey), Brittany, Grant, and a special, yella baby, as she was affectionately called, Regeana Peeler and Stormee; her brothers: Aundrey Hill, Dureya Hill (Tylana), Kelvin Hill, and Chris Brown; sisters: Joan (Kalvin) Wilkins, Van (Larry) Hughes, Dona Gipson, Ashley (Taj) Colom, and Akilah (Jimmy, Jr.) Stokes; she is also remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Gwen is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; sister: Xanaka Hill Burgess; nephews: Kenya J. Hill and Nickolas D. Boone; niece: Jacquestria C. Wilkins and a host of uncles, aunts,  cousins, and friends.
