Herbert Peter Hilliard

Herbert Peter Hilliard, Sr., son of the late Earl and Rosie Wilson Hilliard, was born in Lafayette County, Mississippi on November 24, 1962. Herbert attended, accepted Christ, and worshipped with Second Missionary Baptist Church in his early years.

He received his education in the Oxford School district and was a member of the Oxford High School Class of 1984.. Herbert married Charlene Brooks and he was employed with the City of Oxford Solid Waste Department. He enjoyed life and loved to have fun. His favorite football team was the San Francisco 49'ers. Herbert loved his family and family gatherings. He was loved by his C.B. Webb family and will be truly missed by them. 

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020 (his birthday), the Lord saw fit to remove Herbert from this world of trouble, and and give him a life more rewarding. We know that we should be ye also ready, for of that time, no one knows the day or hour when these thing will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself/ Only the Father knows (Matt. 24:36 KJV). He his now in the arms of the Lord.

Herbert will be remembered by his five children: Herbert Hilliard, Jr., of Oxford MS, Cederick Hilliard (Synterika) of Horn Lake MS, Peter Chamberlain and Keshia Davis of Davenport IA, and Kayla Hilliard of NC; his eight siblings: Barbie Wright (Jimmy), Joyce Pegues (James), and Rosemary Paten (Ernest) all of Water Valley MS, Alvin Hilliard, Loretta Terrell (Larry), both of Davenport IA, Kenny Hilliard of Waterloo IA, Dianne Bledsoe (Timothy) and Shirley Lewis (Robert) both of Oxford MS; He also leaves seven wonderful grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
