James Lee Ivy, III was the eldest son born to his parents, James Lee Ivy, Jr. and Cassandra Morris Ivy, on May 14, 1982 in Lafayette, LA.
"Trey," as he was affectionately called, was baptized at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, MS under the leadership of Dr. Leroy Wadlington. He later moved his membership to World Overcomers in Memphis, TN.He loved the game of basketball and started playing at the age of 8 and continued until he was 21. At a very early age, his parents also discovered that he had a gift for drawing. James graduated from Oxford High School in 2000. After high school, he furthered his education by attending and graduating from Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS.
James took pride in his physical appearance which led to his passions for working out, being a personal trainer, and modeling.
At 4:13 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN, James was called to his Master's home. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his 3 sons, Tre'sion Ivy of Memphis, TN, Isaiah Ivy of Frisco, TX, and Tristan Ivy of Stone Mountain, GA; 1 daughter, Jamee L. Ivy of Memphis, TN; parents, James Ivy, Jr. of Oxford, MS and Cassandra Ivy of Memphis, TN; siblings, Courtney (Domineq) Ivy of Lawrenceville, GA, Moraye Ivy, Christopher Ivy, Ashley Hill all of Memphis, TN, and Michelle (Rodney) Haggard of Port Huron, MI; grandmother, Anne L. Morris of Chicago, IL; stepgrandmother, Earlene Ivy of Morgantown, NC; godparents, Anita Bendy and McKenny Evans both of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lee Ivy, Mary Lue Ivy, and Marcus Morris.
