Jannie Mae Boles, 68, went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2020 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
She was born on November 10, 1951 in Toccopola, Mississippi to Lula Mae Worthem and John Frank Flemons.
She attended Pontotoc Attendance Center in Pontotoc, MS where she met the love of her life, Robert Boles, and was married July 28, 1972 and they remained faithful 47 years. She worked at Riveria Shirt Factory sewing sleeves and collars on shirts for a few years until they decided, that she would go home to be a house wife to care for their children. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and remained faithful until her death. To their union was born two boys and two twin girls.
Church was her life. She enjoyed serving God and making her family happy. She loved reading her bible, cooking for her family, and playing with her grandchildren. She served as the captain of the prayer warrior ministry for many years and remained until her death. Every Sunday morning, 30 minutes before church service started, she would meet at the church to teach and encourage the members on prayer until her death. With true dedication in her heart for God, she truly served him until the end. Her motto was, “Whatever you do for the Lord, give it your all.” Whether it was singing, giving out a hymn, praying for others, making communion bread, testifying or giving words of encouragement; she truly lived her motto and, “She gave it her all”.
The scripture says, “to show thyself friendly” and she did by serving on the Toccopola’s Homemakers Club, visiting the sick and shut in, working the voting poll booth, serving as the Assistant State Secretary and State Financial Recording Secretary, and she was a member of the Deacon Board.
She is survived, by her devoted and loving husband of 47 years: Robert Boles, children: Robert Karnard (Roslyn) Boles, Derrick Boles, Priscilla (Chris) Trice, Aquilla (John) Bridges, eight brothers: Haten Edward Flemons, John Robert (Martha Pearl) Flemons, Lamar (Ethel) Flemons, Charlie Flemons, Jerry (Betty Joyce) Flemons, Gary Flemons, Rickey (Michelle) Flemons, and Carl (Erma) Goolsby, five sisters: Margaret Bynum, Elaine (Joe) McKnight, Mary (Darnell) Hampton, Louise Lindsey, Carol Goolsby, six grandchildren: Destiny (Malcolm) Warren, Shuricka Trice, Alaya Trice, Christopher Trice Jr., Dominic Boles, Janiyah Bridges, and two great-grandchildren: Levi Williams and Paislee Warren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Frank Flemons, mother, Lula Mae Young, and brother, Jimmy Wayne.
