Jasper Fondren was born October 11, 1953, in Taylor MS. to the late Verdie and Evelyn Fondren. Jasper was their 4th child. As a child, Jasper joined South Hopewell M.B. Church.
Jasper was one who would do whatever he said he was going to do for you. He may talk about it, but he would still do it. That was Jasper's personality.
Jasper moved to Milwaukee, WI after high school and remained there until returning to Taylor in 1989.
Jasper was his mom's caregiver in her last days. He even cared for his cousin, Lavern for awhile. We believe that was part of his calling.
Jasper departed this life on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi, in Oxford, MS.
Jasper leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters: Josephine Fondren of Los Angeles, CA, and Pastor Louvene Robinson of Forest, MS; two brothers: Wade (Carnelia) Fondren and Aaron Fondren, both of Oxford, MS; sister-in-law: Cora Booker, Milwaukee, WI; a bonus daughter: Evelyn Latisha Fondren, Milwaukee, WI; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jasper is preceded in death by his parents: his daughter: LaShon Fondren; brother: Roosevelt Booker; brother in law: Pastor Ronald Robinson and nephew: Mose Robinson.
Please keep the Fondren family in your prayers.
