Jearlee Goolsby, daughter of the late Jerome and Luetta Pearson, was born November 22, 1938, in Oxford, MS.
"Jerk," as she was affectionately known, confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and maintained her faith until her death.
She graduated high school in 1956 from Oxford Training School (OTS). Later, "Jerk" united in holy matrimony to Arthur Clyde Goolsby and they were the proud parents of two sons.
As a member of East St. Peter MB Church, "Jerk" served on the Mother's Board, and was a former member of the Adult Choir and the Usher Board and she was loved by many.
In her past time "Jerk" enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and cooking, but she especially enjoyed cooking for her family, friends and community. "Jerk" was a member of the East Side Homemakers Volunteer Club of Oxford and she was employed for many years with Emerson Electric Company where she retired and participated in the annual Emerson Electric Reunions.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital/NM, Jearlee Goolsby passed away in the presence of the Lord with her sons and her daughter-in-law by her side.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her sons, Bobby (Carol) Goolsby and Jeff Goolsby, both of Oxford, MS; her grandson, Denzel Goolsby, Oxford, MS; Three great grandchildren, Canaan Jackson, Grayson Goolsby and Alayna Goolsby; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy (Wilma) Goolsby of Oxford MS and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
