Jessica Renee Liggins

October 17, 1991 ~ August 30, 2021 (age 29)


Jessica Renee Liggins, daughter of Lee Edward Lipsey and the late Linda Lee Liggins, was born October 17, 1991 in Memphis, TN. 

“Renee,” as she was affectionately called, accepted Christ a early age an was baptized at East St. Peter MB Church where she sang in the Youth Choir. She was an active member until college.

She received her education from Oxford City Schools an graduated from Lafayette High School in 2010.  After high school, Jessica studied Biochemistry at Mississippi State University. There she received a bachelor’s degree and later received a degree in nursing. She became an insurance agent at Kemper Life/Union National Insurance Company, where she remained until her death.

Jessica enjoyed taking trips, watching crime documentaries, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and nephews: Jeremiah Payne, RJ Liggins, and Daniel Lipsey. 

Jessica peacefully departed her earthly life on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

She leaves behind to cherish her lovely memories: father, Lee Edward Lipsey of Oxford, MS; two brothers, Robert Liggins of Oxford, MS  and Lee Earnest Liggins of Jackson, MS; one sister, Regina Lipsey of Starkville, MS; three nephews, Daniel Lipsey, Robert Jr. ”RJ” Liggins both of Oxford, MS, and Jeremiah Ross-Payne; one grandmother, Jessie Thompson, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, special friends: Bryant Key, Tiara Fulton “grandma”, and Kristina Danielle “Tina".
