Jessie "Big Bub" Jones Obituary

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Jessie Ervin Jones, son of the late Curtis "Bilbo" and Edna Mathis Jones, was born in Oxford, Mississippi on August 26, 1956. Jessie received his education in the Oxford School District where he graduated with the Class of 1974. Raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Jessie, affectionately known as "Big Bub," enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served 11 years. Upon his return from the military, he joined the workforce. He was employed with the University of Mississippi and Walmart Corporation as a custodian.

Jessie had a love for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also took great pride in grilling and watching his favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots.
