Joe Wade Willingham was born to Robert and Evelyn Shaw Willingham on October 15, 1963. He came to Christ at an early age and was a member of South Hopewell M.B. Church.
Joe was a graduate of Lafayette High School. As a Commodore, he was a favorite among classmates as well as staff. He was a standout football player, though he loved many sports (tennis, basketball, swimming, and track). He graduated from Northwest Community College and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of MS. Joe was a very hard worker. His dedication inspired him to graduate with Honors.
Prior to Joe's health declining health, he loved spending time with friends and family. He had a warm heart and a great sense of humor. Through it all, he was truly loved.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a daughter, Kimberly Concepcion (Tony); two grandsons, Jaron and Jaeden Concepcion all of Chicago, IL; one brother, Willie James Willingham, of Oxford, MS; four sisters, Gladis Willingham and Teresa Grigsby both of Memphis, TN, Joyce Dudley (Michael) of San Antonio, TX, and Furtima Foy (Stevie) of Byhalia, MS. He also leaves behind a beloved aunt, treasured uncles, and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
