John Arnil Adams II was born in Oxford, MS on July 1, 1997 to John Arnil Adams and Courtney Hill. He professed a hope in Christ at River’s Hill Church of Christ.
John attended Oxford City Schools and later graduated from Northwest MS Community College with an Associates of Arts Degree. Thereafter, he was accepted into the University of Mississippi’s School of Engineering. John dedicated many long days and sleepless nights studying in the midst of various obstacles. He was determined to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an Engineer and on May 1, 2021, he reached that milestone.
In his younger days, he was an all-around athlete, playing basketball, baseball, running track - but football was his heart and soul. In his high school days, he was known as “a beast” on the field. His junior year he wore number 7 in honor of his big brother. John was an avid Lakers fan. Although he was a lifetime Kobe fan, he was a Jordan shoe collector. He would stand in long lines to purchase his Jordans.
John was known by his family and those closest to him as loving, humorous, and full of sarcasm. He loved family. On Sundays, you could often find him grilling wings and watching his favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints and in his spare time when he wasn’t studying, he was with family, and spoiling his nieces with trips to the pool. John also enjoyed spending time with his uncles in their man caves, calling on his mom and grams to cook his favorite meals and going on trips with his soulmate, Tamia.
John will be remembered and loved by his family; mother, Courtney Hill Adams of Oxford, MS; brother Jarquis (Jasmine) Adams of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Shynekwa (Rashad) Vaughn of Chattanooga, TN and Sache’ Adams of Oxford, MS; maternal grandparents, Curlie and Jelene Hill of

He also leaves to mourn his death the love of his life, Tamia Everett of Lawrenceville, GA.
