Joyce Wadley Morgan

Joyce Wadley Morgan was born February 24, 1956, in Lafayette County, MS, to the late Luther and Willie Pearl (Malone) Wadley.

Joyce accepted Christ and united with Smith Chapel C.M.E. Church and recently united with the Oasis Church of All Nations.

She received her education from the Lafayette County School District and graduated in 1975. She was employed as a Quality Inspector at Winchester Ammunition. Joyce was a true work-a-holic. She remained at Winchester for 17.5 years until her health failed.

When she wasn’t working, Joyce enjoyed making crafts, particularly ornaments and necklaces. She also liked to sew, can foods, cook, and read. Watching westerns and Kenny & Gloria Copeland were also a couple of her past times.

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Joyce passed away at North Mississippi Specialty Hospital in Batesville, MS. Her memory will be cherished forever by her son, Cedric Wadley of Oxford, MS; grandchildren, Shelby Eggerson, Elijah Wadley, Javeon Herron, and Josiah Herron; great grandchild, Malyiah Eggerson; siblings, Ezekiel (Barbara) Wadley of South Bend, IN, Easter (Adam) Tyson of Taylor, MS, Edna Williams and Barbara Wadley both of Abbeville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson, Jaxson Eggerson; siblings James Wadley, Clinton Wadley, Minnie Britten, and Emma Wadley.
