Kenya (Keller) Jones

Maggie Lakenya Jones was born March 12th, 1981, to Daniel and Maggie Keller in Oxford, MS.

“Kenya,” as she was affectionately called, was a graduate of Oxford High School’s class of 1999, The University of Mississippi’s class of 2004, and completed nursing school in 2009.

She was united in matrimony to Tyrone L. Jones on October 16, 2021.

On Saturday January 22, 2022, she departed her earthly life simultaneously with her husband, Tyrone, in Oxford, MS.

Her beautiful smile, big heart and unconditional love for family will be missed by her parents Daniel Keller of Prentiss, MS and Maggie Keller of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Tammie Brown (Dwayne) of Abbeville, MS and Tonya Blake Moody (Isaiah) of Oxford, MS; four brothers, Aric Keller (Tammy) of Abbeville, MS, Richie McGlawn (Deborah) of Atlanta, GA, Kendrick Keller of Prentiss MS and Jason Keller (Laura) of Oxford, MS; two bonus blessings, Samaria “Molly” Jones of Taylor, MS and Tyrone “T.J” Jones, Jr. of Oxford, MS; nephews, Jeremiah, Brandon, Harris, Adriel, Tashan; niece, Morgan “mini me,” and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Daniel and Gersie Keller; maternal grandmother, Meallissie Blake, and her maternal grandfather, Willie Clinton.

Many memories will live in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her dearly.
