In the famous words of Larry Marion, "If you're Gucci, I'm Gucci, then we all Gucci."
Larry Raymond Marion, son of the late Raymond Thompson and Hattie Isom and Joe Willie Isom, whom he affectionately called "Ole Man," was born March 25, 1959, in Oxford, Mississippi. Larry accepted Christ at an early age and united with the West Springhill MB Church, in Oxford, Mississippi.
Larry was united in matrimony to Phyllis Harris and to this union, three children were born. His wife Phyllis, preceded him in death. Larry was employed with Don Construction along with his "Ole Man," and then went on to work at Emerson Electric Company, Joe Bennett Construction and later, W.W Construction where he worked until his health began to decline.
Larry loved spending time with his family every chance he got. He loved cooking and telling his FAMOUS army stories. On Monday, August 5, 2024, he didn't have to tell an army story became he joined the army of the Lord when he departed this earthly life from his daughter's physical home and went to his eternal home. Larry will truly be missed by family and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
He leaves behind memories to his three children: Wayne Marion of Abbeville MS, Marie (Marcus) Balock and Felicia Marion both of Fort Collins CO; 11 grandchildren; five siblings: Willie (Hattie) Isom of Oxford MS, Louise Isom, Brinda (Gerry) Pomerlee, Micheal (Lorrie) Isom and Eddie Isom, all of Abbeville MS; aunt: Donsey Brown of Abbeville MS and uncle: John Marion of Michigan. Larry also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, and a special friend: Loretta R.
Larry is preceded in death by his loving wife: Phyllis Marion; his parents: Joe Willie "Ole Man" Isom and Raymond Thompson; and his grandparents: Lucille (Doug) Marion.
Please keep the Marion family in your prayers.
