Larry Donnell Vaughn

Larry Donnell Vaughn was born July 3, 1951, to the late McKinley and Ollie Vaughn.

Larry professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Springfield M.B. Church.

He was a native of Abbeville, Mississippi and received his education from Oxford City Schools. After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for 13 ½ years. When he returned from active duty, he became self-employed with Discount Carpet Cleaning.

Larry was a fun-loving man who totally enjoyed his family and friends. He touched the lives of many through his cooking, specifically seafood boils. His loving spirit exuded through his giving, talking on the phone, offerings of encouraging words, smile and kindness. He had a great love for cigars, fishing, and most of all, his children, and grandchildren.

On Monday, September 27, 2021, at the age of 70, Larry transitioned from his earthly life to eternal life at his residence in Harvey, Louisiana. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife Martha Lee-Vaughn; children, Jimmy (Lisa) Rockett and Gerrie (Teresa) Vaughn; bonus children Dr. Treniece Lee and Brandon Lee; siblings, Lois Vaughn, Ida Mae (Eddie) Southern, Lawrence (Denise) Vaughn, Patricia Vaughn, Steve Vaughn, Tony Vaughn, Curtis Miller and Diane (John} Hardin; godson, Tyron Hutton; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and countless friends.
