Latin Marie Hill, affectionately called “Ree” by her family, was born in Greenville, MS on August 20, 1998 to Curlie Darnell Hill and Constance Marie Garcia. She departed this earthly life Wednesday night, October 6, 2021, near her home in Hoover, AL.
Latin was a military kid who had the opportunity to live in many different places. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She was baptized on August 23, 2009 at New Bethel Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS. Later, her family moved to Alabama where she graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in May of 2016. After high school, Latin attended Jefferson State Community College where she studied Child Development.
Latin was a true “daddy's girl” and loved her family and close friends dearly. She loved babies and children, hence prompting her studies at Shelton State. God blessed her with her favorite little person - her baby girl, Ava Marie. Latin enjoyed being with her family and friends and treasured the relationships/bonds with her siblings and cousins. She also loved playing and watching basketball, especially LeBron James.
All who knew and loved her will miss her deeply. Left to mourn her loss, yet cherish her memory, are her daughter, Ava Marie; mother, Constance Marie Garcia-Hill; one brother, Domminik Darnell Hill, all of Hoover, AL; one sister, Courtney Janee Hickonbottom of Oxford, MS; maternal grandmother, Susie Marie Jones of Greenville, MS; paternal grandparents, Curlie and Jelene Hill of Oxford, MS; two nephews, Keyon and Malik; one niece, Autumn; five aunts - Jackie (Niticia) Jones of Vallejo, CA; Pamela (Napolean) Smith of Greenville, MS; Amy Hill and Courtney Hill-Adams, both of Oxford, MS; and Winda (Robert) Birt of Toledo, OH; one uncle - Randy (Shirleigh) Hill of Oxford, MS; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and close friends.
