Lisa Sanders was born August 8, 1969, to James Robert Sanders and Dorothy Mae (Johnson) Sanders, in Oxford Mississippi.
Lisa received her education in the Oxford school district and relocated to Memphis where she attended Kingsbury High School and was a straight “A” student. She later found employment with Cleo Wrap and was employed there for years until her health started to decline.
Lisa Sanders, a beautiful woman, and enjoyed talking with family and friends. Anyone who knew Lisa, know that she enjoyed listening to music, singing, cooking, playing spades and keeping people in line with her outspoken words. She loved having a good time. Her favorite color was purple. She was courageous, she was a mother, sister, grandmother and auntie to many.
Lisa will forever be remembered for the personality that everyone enjoyed. Unexpectedly, on Monday, February 17, 2020, while in St. Francis Hospital in Memphis TN, Lisa departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter: Victoria Higginbottom (Curtis); her special friend: James Moore; her brother: Jammie (Jennifer) Tyler, her grandchildren: Kayla, James Jr., and Jayden; a devoted sister: Jennifer Tyler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She also leaves a host of other sisters and cousins that were very dear to her.
