Lucy Mae (Frison) Martin

Lucy Mae Martin was born on December 8, 1946, in Oxford, MS,  to the late Charlie Frison and Cora Bell (Houston) Frison.

Lucy accepted Christ at an very early age and was baptized at East Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of Central High School class of 1965. On February 20, 1965, she was united in holy matrimony to Bobby Lee Martin, Sr. Who preceded her in death. To this union, four children were born.

In April of 1967, Lucy moved to Racine, WI.  She gained employment at Alloy Steel Casting Factory and worked as an shift inspector for 14 years, retiring due to health issues.

Lucy enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, cheating on cross word puzzles, playing cards: "pitty-pat, "tunk" and spades. Lucy transitioned from life to eternity on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Abbeville, MS.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Bobby Lee (Sharon) Martin, Jr., Oxford MS; Three granddaughters: Amanda V. Martin, College Park MD; Feniquese C. Smith-Martin and Desha Martin both of Racine WI; step granddaughter: Kiarrah M. McLean, Columbus MS; five great grandchildren: Naim Q. Smith, D'Adrian L. Smith-Adams, Bruce W. Johnson, Jr., Armonie H. Lynch and DeHharia D. Bostick all of Racine WI; step great grandchild; Kendra Z. McLean, Oxford MS; Three brothers: Clifton Houston, Abbeville MS, Willie (Sharon) Frison, Louisville KY and Robert Frison, Las Vegas NV; six brothers-in-law: Eddie (Cindy) Martin and Kenny M. Owens, both of Appleton WI, James Owens, Ferndale MI, Delwayne (Leann) Owens, Detroit MI, Ray Rogers, Atlanta GA, and Jimmy Rogers, Syracuse NY; four sisters-in-law: Addie Jean Martin-Jones, Oak Park MI, Angela Owens, Detroit MI, Allie B. Shaw and Loretta Rogers, both of Oxford MS, and Katie Rogers, Syracuse NY; step mother-in-law: Avery Mae (Toles) Rogers, Pasadena CA; aunt: Emma Jean Houston, Milwaukee WI; two bonus nephews raised as sons: Michael Frison, Milwaukee WI and Omar Frison, Racine WI; four special nieces: Cassandra (Treoune) Toles, Linda (Jerome) Kearney, Oxford MS; Shirley Pegues, Olive Branch MS and Priscilla Owens Taylor, MS; Best friends of 59 years: Thomas (Velma) Pegues, Racine WI; best friend and neighbor: Rosie Hodges of Abbeville MS; special cousin: Laura Jean Tallie, Oxford MS; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Cora Bell (Houston) Frison;  her husband: Bobby Lee Martin, Sr.; daughter: Delores Annette Martin; two sons: David Martin and Christopher B. Martin; three sisters: Lena Mae Clifton, Dorothy Jean Frison and Cora Lynn (Frison) Westbrook; one brother: Edward Houston; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; mother and father in law: Early B. (Martin) Owens and Sulton Rogers; and Antonio Brown Martin.
