Macine Booker was born August 1, 1934, in Taylor, MS to the late Winnie and Pricinne Toles McEwen. She accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined North Hopewell MB Church where she served on the Usher and Mother Boards and was a faithful member until her health began to fail.
Macine was a natural nurturer thus prompting her employment at Graceland Care Center. After six years, she began working at North Mississippi Regional Center from which she retired. She loved planting flowers, working outside, spending time with her grandchildren, and being a foster grandparent.
On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home and surrounded by family, Macine peacefully transitioned from her earthly life to eternal life with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, George Booker (Ella Mae) of Water Valley, MS, Robert L. Booker, Andy Booker, Sr., Maylene Booker, and Kathleen Booker Mathis (Thomas) all of Taylor, MS; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Tommie McEwen of Memphis, TN; two special nephews, Floyd “Sonnie Boy” Ivy and Eugene “Butch” McEwen; two special nieces, Joanna Sisk Henderson and Omega Kay Blake; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
