Mary Andrews was born on September 22, 1932 to Miss Genora Files Andrews and Mr. Elmer Henderson, who both preceded her in death.
She professed a hope in Christ at the age of 11 and joined Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member for many years. She later united with Eureka AME Zion Church where she served on the Trustee Board, sang in the choir, and was a stewardess. She remained a faithful member until death.
Mary was employed by Borg Warner for 30 years.
On, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, while surrounded by her family, Mary peacefully made her transition to be with the Lord.
She is preceded in death by three sons, Henry "Pick" Henderson, Howard E. Andrews, and Gregory B. Andrews, two grandsons, Steven Andrews and Lelonza Andrews, two brothers, Elmer Henderson, Jr. and Tyrone Vance, one great great great grandson, and one daughter-in-law, Annie L. Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Mary Martin of Rock Island, IL, Julia Ann Cauthen of Jackson, MS, and Mae Helen Williams of Batesville, MS; 18 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Henderson and Brenda Tyler both of Chicago, IL; one brother, Del Ray Henderson of Chicago, IL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
